StyleVault Commerce is a headless e-commerce platform built for a fashion retailer operating both online and across physical store locations. The platform provides a fully custom shopping experience with AI-driven product recommendations, real-time inventory synchronised across online and in-store stock, and a streamlined checkout optimised for conversion.
What We Were Solving
The retailer had been operating on a standard Shopify theme that offered limited customisation and no ability to personalise the shopping experience. Inventory was managed separately for online and physical stores, regularly leading to overselling and customer disappointment. Their conversion rate had plateaued and they lacked the technical flexibility to experiment with the experience.
How We Built It
Media Bracket built a headless frontend decoupled from the commerce backend, giving the retailer complete control over the user experience without sacrificing backend commerce capabilities. A recommendation engine analyses browsing behaviour and purchase history to surface relevant products to each shopper. Inventory sync runs continuously across all sales channels via a central inventory management API we developed in-house, eliminating the overselling problem entirely. The checkout flow was rebuilt with a focus on minimising friction, reducing steps and pre-filling details for returning customers.
The Results
Online conversion rate increased by 31% in the three months following launch. Overselling incidents dropped to zero. The personalised recommendation engine now accounts for 24% of total online revenue, with customers who engage with recommendations having a significantly higher average order value than those who do not.
